Week 5 Part B: Learning About Facebook Data Collecting
Post reach and engagement are two important factors when running a business on social media. Post reach allows you to get a hold of the amount of views each post is getting by your followers, while post engagement shows you which posts your followers seem to be more interactive with. It’s significance is to serve your business what your audience is more likely interested in what you have to offer. Also, will allow your business to grow. As for learning, you are able to target your market. Gaining information about your followers and audience will allow you to know what’s catching their eyes.
With the use of Facebook insights to better serve their customers, the business will be informed about who and what are sharing or spreading the businesses posts. Some followers may or may not like some products, but those who’ve they shared to it could be a potential customer.
For the privacy changes, I believe it’s good to have a restriction of information so it won’t get leaked out to others. There are so many fake accounts or scam artists trying to create fraud. Having Facebook privacy will keep certain information private for your eyes only.

Week 4 Part B:
Week 4 Part A: Defining Markets
The markets I chose to identify are Cream of Crop and Sprouts. Both are local grocery stores located in Oceanside, Ca. Cream of Crop only has one single location, while Sprouts is an international chain that has stores located all around.
After discovering both businesses websites, I noticed that Cream of Crop is very simple and doesn't provide too much information about the business. Not all the products are listed onto the website, only the local produce is. It also provides a tab for 'Specials & Savings' that includes a table of weekly produce specials, but its vague and not much information is put into place. By looking at it, it was kind of difficult to understand.
As for Sprouts, it's very well put together. The design as a whole is easy to access and navigate through. The font size is good and the images are very helpful and amusing to the audience. There's color provided, many tabs to go through, every product is listed, and even menus. You can tell there was so much thought put into the creation of the website.
However, each business seems to attract the same audience and customers due to their similar products. But, I feel more customers are drawn to Sprouts more because of its various locations and platform. Cream of Crop is only one location so therefore, more locals or those who live near would choose to shop.

Week 3 Part B: Developing a Brand
When developing a brand, I have to keep in mind that there’s a vast majority of factors that are incorporated within it. From creating a platform and all the technological necessities needed. I would first come up with a plan before engaging in any activity so it can be a guide. My plan would include research of which audience I want to target, what product or service I plan to promote, a mission statement, which social media platforms are consumers mainly engaging in, how I would physically transport the product or service, payment set up, customer service, policy, business license, and owning the name of the brand.
For my brand I want to build, I am looking forward to creating an online shoe store called B’z Kickz on Instagram . I need to reserve the name of the business which I would have to pay for and a business license before creating. Instagram seems to be one of the top platforms most individuals are engaging on, so I’ll open up a business account there. Especially since I’m trying to target an audience of consumers from around the age group of 14 years old and up. I have to put a lot of thought into how I’m going to design my account since I want to grab the audience's attention.
Therefore, my profile picture will have a background of different shoes with a logo. The page will have a contact icon for support if needed. A link in the bio will be provided to those who are purchasing and are ready to pay. The link will be consistently up to date so that certain products that become out of stock aren’t listed. Also, my mission statement will be provided in the bio which is Rock out how you want, just be true to yourself!.
Each product will have their own post so that customers know which products are being sold. The background of the products will be different in each post since there’s going to be different color waves in the shoes. I’ll try my best to have a background that matches or makes the color wave pop out in the picture as a way to grab others attention. Along with another picture of both a male and a female modeling the shoes. When modeling the shoes, I would start off by having family or friends to model the product and then later on reach out to influencers.
However, each post will have its own caption, the name of the shoe, and a tag of the model’s account. I will be posting consistently on my story of new shipments and promotions. Most likely there will be sales or promotions on each holiday. To ship out products, I will have to personally ship it out through FedEx or UPS.

Week 3 Part A: Aesthetics, Designs, and Branding
Two of the following websites that I thought were poorly designed were: Craigslist and Atari Best Electronics. For Craigslist, there was just too much information on one page for individuals. Hardly any color was brought upon besides blue and white on the page. As well as, no images when you first go to the website. The only images listed, are the products being sold. I would describe the homage as looking at a dictionary, while clicking on a specific product list to be my email inbox.
Atari Best Electronics had too many words on one page with the font being way too big. It reminded me of the old advertisement flyers posted around cities. The size of font and amount of words takes away from actually seeing the products being sold. Even the images included were smaller than the description placed.
However, I thought Apple and Toyota's website were well designed. Both were very aligned and easy for customers to navigate to certain products. Color, images, font size, and the set up as a whole was very pleasing. There isn't anything negative to say about these two websites.
After viewing each website and being mindful of the lecture, I came to realization that how you develop your website can have an impact on others eyes. From seeing poor to be well designed websites, there's a huge difference. I learned that font size, color, images, and placement plays a big role. It can either grab the customers attention or lose it.
Blogs I commented on: Spencer Clark, Nicole Lozano, and Marcus Visconti

Week2 A: Communications Between Business & Consumer
Social media has impacted communications between businesses and consumers. It's more of an easy access. Everything has transitioned to online services such as going from regular post mail to emailing or texting. Through social media, consumers are able to receive answers quicker than having to wait for a post mail to come in within five to seven business days in regards of a complaint or question.
Many businesses will have their own website which they'll stay consistent with. As far as I know, they will either have a customer service team or a review page that consumers can insert their inputs in which they are able to reply back to. First hand experience with a customer service team, I was able to get in contact quick and they were able to help resolve an issue I had within less than 24 hours of reaching out. But with review pages, they are open to the public. Anyone is able to view prior consumers comments which could be challenging to future consumers. Everybody loves to read reviews before purchasing from a business or to see what they were rated as from health department.
Although throughout my research of reviews, I noticed that majority of them were pretty positive remarks compared to the negative. Some businesses had replied quicker than others or some sounded very understanding, but would leave off with a smart remark toward the consumer. Even if the review was good, the business would sound condescending.
As for myself, I don't really write reviews. But, I will share a post of a small business on my instagram story if I was very much pleased with the service or product. I haven't been in contact with a horrible service or unsatisfied product yet to write or input anything negative. I also hope I don't have to write one either.
However, if I were to have my own small business on social media, I would make sure every complaint or comment is responded to. I will have to stay consistent to ensure my business is professional and caring of others feelings. That way consumers will know my business is legit and makes way for new consumers. When it comes down to negative comments, I would be open minded and try to see if there's any way of resolving the reviewers issue. For a positive review, I would sincerely thank them.
+ There wasn't just one business I wrote about, it was a combination.
Businesses: Wienerschnitzel, McDonald's, Nike, Teri Cafe, Sunshine Kitchen, and Big Lots.
