Week 3 Part B: Developing a Brand

When developing a brand, I have to keep in mind that there’s a vast majority of factors that are incorporated within it. From creating a platform and all the technological necessities needed. I would first come up with a plan before engaging in any activity so it can be a guide. My plan would include research of which audience I want to target, what product or service I plan to promote, a mission statement, which social media platforms are consumers mainly engaging in, how I would physically transport the product or service, payment set up, customer service, policy, business license, and owning the name of the brand.

For my brand I want to build, I am looking forward to creating an online shoe store called B’z Kickz on Instagram . I need to reserve the name of the business which I would have to pay for and a business license before creating. Instagram seems to be one of the top platforms most individuals are engaging on, so I’ll open up a business account there. Especially since I’m trying to target an audience of consumers from around the age group of 14 years old and up. I have to put a lot of thought into how I’m going to design my account since I want to grab the audience's attention.

Therefore, my profile picture will have a background of different shoes with a logo. The page will have a contact icon for support if needed. A link in the bio will be provided to those who are purchasing and are ready to pay. The link will be consistently up to date so that certain products that become out of stock aren’t listed. Also, my mission statement will be provided in the bio which is Rock out how you want, just be true to yourself!

Each product will have their own post so that customers know which products are being sold. The background of the products will be different in each post since there’s going to be different color waves in the shoes. I’ll try my best to have a background that matches or makes the color wave pop out in the picture as a way to grab others attention. Along with another picture of both a male and a female modeling the shoes. When modeling the shoes, I would start off by having family or friends to model the product and then later on reach out to influencers.

However, each post will have its own caption, the name of the shoe, and a tag of the model’s account. I will be posting consistently on my story of new shipments and promotions. Most likely there will be sales or promotions on each holiday. To ship out products, I will have to personally ship it out through FedEx or UPS.
